SPL Laser Brazilian Bikini Hair Removal

By

Square Pulse Light Laser Hair Removal

Say goodbye to shaving and getting itchy bumps for a few days afterwards.

Say goodbye to waxing, which I just would never let anyone do on me down there.

Time to say hello to SPL Laser Hair Removal, permanent hair reduction and only one or two maintainence visits per year.

Compare that to painful waxing every few weeks, or the last resort of shaving every few days, and it's a pretty sweet alternative.

How Many Treatments?

I was told I would need about 6 initial sessions, and based on how pleased I was with my test patch, I don't think it will be any more than this. The initial sessions are spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, and it is very important that you stick to them and have your appointments at the right time, to ensure all the hairs are targeted and removed in their different stages of growth.

Some people may need up to 8 or 10 sessions depending on their skin and hair colour, and the treatment area.

After the initial treatments, I will only need to go back every 6 months for a touchup session and to ensure nothing grows back.

Compare that to monthly waxing, and I say 6 months is fantastic.

How much does it cost?

SPL laser hair removal seems to be cheaper than IPL as far as I have seen.

For the bikini area, the franchise chain I go to charges $75 for a bikini, and for a brazilian they charge $135.

Did it Hurt?

Since I have never waxed or had a tattoo I cannot compare. However I know that those two procedures hurt and that I would never do them. To me, having this area of my body SPL laser treated, did not really hurt.

I only swore once. I did move and squirm a little bit as the shot hit me. It's just one little sting, like a pin prick. The laser head is decent sized, so it's not one prick for each hair. It's one prick for lots and lots of hairs.

Waxing down there would hurt WAY more. If you can handle waxing, you can handle a one second pin prick.

Results After First Treatment

I cannot believe how amazing the results were!!! The hair grew back super super slow and after about 2 weeks some started falling out. Towards the 4 week mark there were patches with no hair, or thinned out patches. By the time I was about ready for my second treatment, there was at least a 20% reduction in hair. Some spots were smooth, some were very short. Nothing like how it was prior to treatment. So very impressed. Could not wait for the second treatment.

Results After 2nd Treatment

About 2 weeks after my second SPL treatment there was only a few hairs here and there growing, mostly in the same places that the first session didn't remove. So these should fall out in another week or two.

The rest of the areas that were great after my first treatment, are still super smooth.

Any hair that is growing is very short, very soft, and very fine. I can't wait till they drop out and stop growing.

At the moment I would say over 40% hair reduction and it's still early after my second treatment, so I have some great expectations ahead on the way to the 3rd session.
